At Mr. Steering Specialist, we want to ensure that our customers receive the best possible products and services. As part of our commitment to excellence, we offer a Core Charge on many of our items.
Please read carefully before placing an order or returning your old core.
A Core Charge is a refundable deposit that we charge when we sell certain items. The deposit is held as collateral to ensure the return of the old rebuildable part, also known as the “Core,” to our facility. Cores are rebuildable parts that can usually be redeemed for the amount of the original deposit price. The Core Charge will be determinated refundable only after we receive and inspect your old rebuildable core.
An acceptable core is one that is not broken or so severely damaged beyond repair that it cannot be rebuilt or repair to proper working condition. In general, acceptable cores must have no missing or broken parts, no cracks or damage to the casing, and no excessive wear. Any damage to the core or excess wear may result in a deduction of the core value or no refund.
Additionally, to receive full core credit, the core you return must be the same model and part number as what was purchased. If the core you return is not the same model and part number, or if it does not meet our acceptable core return policy, we may be unable to issue a full refund for the Core Charge.
Refund Policy for Non-Original Cores: We do not offer refunds for cores that are identified as aftermarket, non-original, or non-OEM. An aftermarket core is any core that is not manufactured or supplied by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or an officially authorized equivalent.
Identification of Aftermarket Cores: All cores are subject to inspection upon receipt. A core will be classified as aftermarket if it does not meet OEM specifications, provenance, or branding, or if it shows evidence of non-OEM components or alterations.
If you are unsure if your core will meet our acceptable core return policy, we encourage you to CONTACT US before returning the core. We can help you determine if the core is acceptable for return and provide guidance on the return process.
Cores should be shipped back to us within 30 days of purchase. This timeframe allows us to receive the core and inspect it for quality and suitability for rebuilding. If the core is received after 30 days, a fee of 15% will be charged.
The shipping cost for the return of the core is the responsibility of the customer. We recommend that you use a shipping method with tracking and insurance to protect your investment and ensure that the core is returned to us in good condition.
